I have received a film today from someone on the ground close to the Gaza border. The film confirms reports by the IDF and Israeli Government that HAMAS terrorists are continuing to use children as Human shields. The film, which I can e-mail you by request, shows HAMAS terrorists dragging young children to shield themselves from attacks from IDF soldiers.

There is clear evidence that HAMAS have, for a long time, been using civilians and Public Facilities such as schools and hospitals as locations from which to fire rockets and administrate their activities. On Saturday HAMAS paid salaries to their fighters from Shifa Hospital Gaza because they consider this location safe to meet and collaborate. UNWRA and UN buildings in Gaza are not simply used as humanitarian centres but are used for terrorist purposes as well. Israeli Public Security Minister Avi Ditcher has issued a statement today confirming the buildings from which HAMAS are directing their militants and these include UNRWA and UN medical centres and schools.

I have received e-mails from families living in the area and they confirm Israeli reports that even today HAMAS have continued to fire rockets during the three-hour ceasefire, which was created by Israel to allow humanitarian aid to be distributed amongst Palestinian Arabs in Gaza. Today two rockets hit Kfar Aza, several have hit Sderot and during the ceasefire Grad rockets have hit Ashkelon injuring civilians and damaging property.

I have spoken to an Israeli friend and mother of three by telephone this morning. She reports that her community Kfar Aza is closed and that rockets are reigning down upon the houses there. She has told me that she is aware that HAMAS are using Women and children as shields and that she is worrying about how ordinary mothers like her are coping when HAMAS fire rockets from locations near to their homes and take their children to be carried through the streets to prevent the IDF firing at their fighters.

She is living in cramped conditions with her parents in a small house in Sderot. The house has no bomb shelter or cover. The schools are closed and her children are simply listening to the constant sound of war and alarms, which continue to warn of the rockets fired from Gaza at civilian homes, which land nearby.

She is saddened and upset by the bias of the western media as they report in favour of terrorists in Gaza and ignore the plight of both ordinary Palestinian and Israeli people. She has lived with rocket fire from Gaza for eight years and has seen her friends and neighbours killed by rockets. She has now lost her home and her children spend their days in fear. Her neighbours, mothers and children like her children, in Gaza are being killed because the terrorists continue to attack Israel and heartlessly and ruthlessly use them as shields. She says this is not propaganda it is real and Israel has no option but to try to stop HAMAS which is after all regarded as one of the most aggressive and heartless terrorist organisations in the world.
